Frequently Asked Questions

Although not required, trial appointments are encouraged! This allows us to meet, discuss your style preferences, and bring your bridal vision to life. The trial ensures that you feel confident and beautiful on your wedding day by providing an opportunity to refine your look beforehand.

Generally, the trial appointment takes longer than the actual wedding day session. I typically allocate 3 to 4 hours for a San Diego wedding hair and makeup trial. During this time, we’ll have a thorough consultation to understand your bridal vision and preferences. If adjustments are needed or if there’s anything you’d like to change, I’m more than happy to accommodate you to achieve your perfect bridal look. Your satisfaction is my priority, and I want to ensure you feel confident and beautiful on your special day.

I recommend to schedule your trial session around 1-3 months before your wedding date. By this time, you should have chosen your dress and have a clear vision of your bridal aesthetic. This timing allows us to fine-tune your hair and makeup to perfectly complement your overall look for the big day.

Trials are typically scheduled on weekdays with limited availability on Sundays. For your convenience, I offer both in-home trials, where I travel to your location, or you’re welcome to visit my home studio in San Diego. Please reach out to schedule your wedding hair and makeup San Diego trial session, and we’ll find a time that works best for you.

For your trial, it’s best to arrive with a bare face and clean and dry hair. Additionally, if you plan to wear a veil or any hair accessories on your big day, feel free to bring them along to try on with your completed glam. To ensure the best visualization of your wedding day look, I suggest wearing a white top for a more accurate comparison.

I recommend choosing hairstyles that closely match your hair color and length, as this will provide the most accurate representation of how the style will look on you. Similarly, opt for makeup looks featuring individuals with your eye color or skin tone for the best comparison.

You can source your photos from various platforms such as online searches, Pinterest, Instagram, or even from my website or Instagram page. Feel free to collect a variety of images that resonate with your desired bridal aesthetic, and we’ll use them as a reference to tailor your hair and makeup to perfection during your trial.

Yes, to secure your wedding day services, I kindly request a 30% deposit of the total service cost along with a signed contract. This deposit ensures that your date is reserved exclusively for you. Please note that delaying the deposit could potentially result in the loss of your chosen date and availability with me as your San Diego wedding makeup artist vendor.

Absolutely. You’re welcome to schedule a trial before finalizing your wedding date. However, please note that trial appointments are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s important to remember that while you can schedule a trial, your wedding date will only be secured once the contract is signed and the deposit has been made.

Payments are conveniently processed through my secure online system, Wave. You can easily pay using a debit or credit card, ensuring a smooth and secure transaction process. Additionally, I accept payments via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. Please note that checks are not accepted under any circumstances.

For the bride, I recommend allocating 3 hours for hair & makeup. For guests, bridesmaids, and mothers, please allow 1.5 hours for the hair and makeup service.

I will create a personalized beauty timeline for you and your bridal party. This timeline will help coordinate the schedule, ensuring everyone is ready on time. Typically, the services will be completed 2 hours before your ceremony begins, allowing time for first-look photos, family photos, or any other pre-ceremony activities you have planned.

Typically, I can do up to 6 services on my own. If additional services are needed, I have a dedicated team of talented artists available to assist with the hair and makeup services. Each additional artist hired incurs a fee of $150. This fee covers the coordination of schedules and ensures that you have a single point of contact for scheduling, payments, and communication. My priority is to accommodate your needs while maintaining a seamless and stress-free experience on your special day.

For the best experience, I recommend considering options such as a private home, Airbnb rental, or a hotel room. These locations generally offer more space and better lighting, ideal for hair and makeup services.

While bridal suites can be a convenient option for wedding preparations, it’s important to consider their limitations. Some bridal suites may not open until the afternoon, which can reduce the available window for hair and makeup preparation.
