Terms of Service
1. Services
Creative Frameworks LLC, dba Megan Michelle Artistry, provides professional on-location bridal hair and makeup services throughout San Diego County and surrounding areas. Our services include bridal makeup, bridal hair styling, and services for bridal party members.
2. Booking Process & Contracts
Securing Your Date: To secure your wedding date, we first confirm our team’s availability. Once approved, you’ll receive a contract and invoice for a 30% deposit. Your date is officially booked only when both the signed contract and deposit are received.
Contract Requirements: A signed contract and 30% deposit are required to confirm your booking. Your wedding date is not secured until both are completed.
3. Payment Terms
Deposit: A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding date.
Final Balance: The remaining balance is due one (1) week before your wedding date.
Accepted Payment Methods: We accept most major credit and debit cards worldwide. Cash is also accepted with advance arrangements. Checks are not accepted.
Gratuity: Tipping is not included in service pricing but is optional and always appreciated. Gratuity may be given directly to individual artists or provided to the lead artist for team distribution.
4. Service Requirements & Minimums
Weekend Minimums: For Friday, Saturday, and Sunday weddings, we require a minimum of 5 total services (hair and/or makeup combined).
Artist Capacity: Each artist can provide up to 4-6 services maximum per event.
Additional Artists: If your event requires more than 6 total services, or if you have a smaller getting ready window that does not allow enough time for one artist to perform 6 services, an additional artist will be added to ensure timely completion. Each additional artist incurs a flat fee of $150.
Service Additions: Additional services may be added after booking, subject to team availability.
5. Trial Appointments
Availability: Trial appointments are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at The Proper Beauty Bar (3039 Jefferson St F, Carlsbad, CA 92008).
Scheduling: Trials should be scheduled 1-3 months before your wedding date and are booked separately from your wedding services.
Cancellation Policy: Trial appointments are non-refundable but may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice or no-shows require new booking and full payment.
Out-of-Town Clients: Alternative arrangements may be available for out-of-town clients upon request.
6. Cancellations & Modifications
Service Cancellations: Services may be cancelled up to 30 days before your wedding date without additional fees. However, the 30% deposit is non-refundable and will be retained.
Late Cancellations: Any services cancelled within 30 days of the wedding date will result in 100% of the total invoice amount due.
Wedding Cancellations: If the entire wedding is cancelled within 30 days of the wedding date for any reason, 100% of the total invoice amount is due within 7 days of cancellation.
Contract Modifications: Changes to your contract are subject to availability and must be confirmed in writing.
7. Wedding Day Logistics
Timing: We allocate 1.5 hours for each bridal service (hair or makeup) for the bride, and 1 hour per service for each bridal party member. Time is included for setup, cleanup, and final touch-ups.
Location Requirements: Services are provided on-location at your chosen venue. We recommend private homes, Airbnb rentals, or hotel rooms for optimal space and timing flexibility.
Venue Access: If using venue bridal suites, please confirm access times, as many venues don’t open until afternoon, which may conflict with early photography schedules.
8. Health & Safety
Sanitation: All tools and products are sanitized between uses according to industry standards.
Allergies & Sensitivities: All allergies and skin sensitivities must be disclosed prior to service. Clients should arrive with clean, dry hair and a bare face for optimal application.
Liability: Megan Michelle Artistry is not liable for allergic reactions or skin irritations. Clients with known sensitivities should conduct patch tests during trial appointments.
9. Photo Release
By engaging our services, clients consent to the use of their photos for Megan Michelle Artistry’s marketing materials, website, social media, and promotional purposes, unless specifically opted out in writing.
10. Force Majeure
In cases of extreme weather, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control that prevent service delivery, we will work with clients to reschedule when possible. Deposits may be applied to new dates based on availability.
11. Business Entity
Megan Michelle Artistry operates as a FBN/ DBA of Creative Frameworks LLC, a California Limited Liability Company.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by California state law. Any disputes will be resolved in San Diego County, California.
13. Updates to Terms
These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modifications. Individual contracts may contain specific terms that supersede these general terms of service.
